Frequently Asked Questions
Q1 - How many days does the sealing service take?
It usually takes three days for interlocking: Washing, Sanding, Sealing. And two days for concrete: Washing, Sealing.
Q2 - How long does it take to dry the sealant?
According to manufacturer, it will be touch dry in 20 -30 minutes, and can be driven on within 6 hours. If you have a car, we recommend to postpone with parking till the next day.
Q3 - What is the main apprehension when it comes to sealing and sanding?
In most cases an unpredictable weather is the main challenge that could cause issues on the way.
Q4 - What other services you recommend in addition to sealing ?
We recommend to fix all the interlocking defects such as leveling the surface or stone separation before proceeding with a sealing service.
Q5 - How strong is the power-washer? Is it capable of removing oil stains?
Our power-washer has 4200psi pressure capability, but unfortunately it does not remove oil/fuel stains from the stone/concrete surfaces. Certain chemicals could help, but there is/are potential risks such as damaging the stone, fading or color change. Therefore, we will always consult with you to confirm whether you'd like us to proceed with removal or avoid taking these risks.
Q6 - "Ants Company"
Occasionally, you may notice ants beginning to nest between stone joints shortly after the washing or sanding process is completed — even if there was no prior activity. This happens because the freshly cleaned and prepared surface creates ideal conditions for them settle. However, once the polymeric sand fully hardens and sealing will be completed - most ants will be gone.
